1960 - 1972. The official Rugby World binding for these years was in the form of a book. Copies were collected through the year and then sent to Rugby World in the January for binding. The complete issues were then bound into book form with end flypapers (blank sheets owf paper added to front and back), The spine had gold block lettering with "Rugby World" and the date. We believe this option to bind the magazine ended in 1972. A volume bound in this format will be described as 'BOUND VOLUME' |

From 1962-1992 along with the bound book option it was also possible to purchase maroon colured binders directly from Rugby World with gold block lettering black spine. A year of issues sold in this format will be described as "OFFICIAL MAROON BINDER" |

1985 - 1992 - The official binders were in green with red lettering on a yellow backgound. A year of issues sold in this format will be described as "OFFICIAL GREEN BINDER" |

1993-2003 - The official binders were in red with gold block lettering. A year of issues sold in this format will be described as "OFFICIAL RED BINDER" |
