The 1948 Australian Cricketers in Cartoon is an extremely rare and much sought after publication relating to the Invincibles tour of England. We have in our collection the original artwork for this publication by local artist Haydn Ford. Each sheet is an original illustration in ink and pencil that measures 37cm x 25cm (14.5" x 10"). All sheets have drawing pin holes in the corner. 13 out of the 17 have been signed by the cricketer featured in the illustration, it is believed the caricatures were signed during or after the match with Glamorgan at the St Helen's ground in Swansea. All twelve players featuring in that match have added their autographs to the artwork which has come to us directly from the collection of an opposing Glamorgan cricketer.
