This jersey is most likely from the France (away at Libourne, won 9-7) or England (home at Aberavon, lost 27-17) encounters, we have an Australian jersey, this would indicate that Adrian exchanged his Welsh one to obtain this. AUSTRALIA SCHOOLS 1981/2 TOUR JERSEY - An Australian Schools jersey from the match against Welsh Youth at Neath on 29th January 1982. his was the last match of an 11 match unbeaten tour, the team scored 238 points with only 49 against and included future stars Steve Tuynman, Cameron Lillicrap, Matthew Burke and Michael Lynagh. The Adidas style jersey made famous by the senior touring side of the same year is a number 14 and was worn by winger Paul Flemons, it is made in Australia by 'Peerless' and is in excellent condition. FRENCH 1984 (v Wales) JERSEY - A jersey worn by the French winger Patrice Lagisquet in the 1984 match against Wales. The no 14 jersey by le Coq Sportif is approx a size 42". It is in good condition with a few stains gained from the match. Unfortunately the badge was taking off the jersey for safe keeping and misplaced. Illustrated left is Lagisquet in the team photo prior to the match, France won the match 21-16, their first victory on Welsh soil since their 1968 Grand Slam match. AUCKLAND - A 1904 Auckland honours cap. his is the year that Auckland
defeated the touring British Isles team and in which they played the first
Ranfurly Shield match (an lost to Wellington in the first defence). The
cap has seen better days with some of the braiding loose and some of the
strands on the tassel look to be missing. The cap is by JA Cooper of
Auckland and there are some names on the label 'Bob' 'G Netton' 'I O
Notton'. The only one we can tie up with an Auckland player from 1904 is
quite a long shot,
'Bob' which could be short for Robert (McGregor). Illustrated below is the
1904
Auckland team that defeated the Lions.

together with the clubs crest to the centre panel. the cap is embroidered with the clubs

to the panels with some surface loss, the central panel of the lining is
worn. This is one of the oldest caps we have had the pleasure to offer,

Adrian Hadley was a powerful wing who made his Cardiff debut in 1983. He
soon grew to become a favourite of the Arms Park crowd and was
a prolific try scorer, scoring 26 tries in his first season and helping the
capital club to
a cup final win in 1984. Making his debut for Wales against Romania in 1983 he
gained a total of 27 caps & scored 9 tries for Wales including 2 in the
Triple Crown victory over England in 1988. Perhaps his most notable try came in
the dying minutes of the 1987 Rugby World Cup 3/4 play off match against
Australia where his corner touchdown allowed Paul Thorburn the
opportunity to slot the winning conversion. He gained one non cap appearance
for a Welsh XV in 1983 against Japan in which he also scored a try
and he also made several appearances for the Barbarians. Hadley turned
professional just after the Triple Crown success in 1988 with northern giants
Salford. After making his debut against Warrington in September of that year he went
on to represent Wales in the thirteen man code. He returned to union as a
successful player
coach with another Manchester side, the Sale Sharks, after helping steer them to a
cup final appearance he was later made the director
of rugby at the club. The jerseys below are all from the playing career of Adrian Hadley.

accompanied by a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing that it is
original.
