A pocket size autograph book in which the signatures have been collected by Lewis Priestly of Huddersfield. Pages are sized 12cm x 10cm and the book contains mostly football teams. The only dated pages is a third of the way through the book where the autographs of Fulham FC 1939/40 appear and the Bradford Northern Rugby League 1940 team. The book is unusual in that the latter end of the book is less organised that the front end. Teams appear on single sided pages, with the occasional page in which Lewis has failed to collect the autographs of a team. Players usually have signed neatly in pencil the team name written in ink. Later on in the book autographs have been pasted in from another source. the occasional cricketer on non-soccer autographs appear intermittently throughout the latter pages of the book. The book was purchased in a lot of around 5 similar books after fierce bidding from several 'autograph specialists' from Phillips auctioneers in about 1997.  The images above and below are all from this book.
