The British Lions played "The Rest" of the World at Cardiff Arms Park on 16th April 1986. This match celebrated 100 years of the IRFB. The Lions team was captained by Scottish hooker Colin Deans, the Rest of the World team included Blanco, Farr-Jones, Lynagh, Kirwan, Mexted and Poidevan. The Rest triumphed in this great showpiece, 15-7. This match was awarded the status of a full British Lions international and caps were awarded for the first time on British soil.

BRITISH LIONS v BARBARIANS - 10th September 1977 - On their return from NZ the British Lions played a match against the Barbarians at Twickenham to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee and raise funds for the Jubilee charity. This is the first ever British Lions home match. The Lions were victorious in the match by 23 points to 14 in front of a capacity crowd at Twickenham.

An extremely rare official programme for this All Blacks v British team test match dated June 6th, 1908 at Dunedin. The programme is 32 pages long, with many photos and articles. It is published by the Imperial Advertising Agency Wellington. We believe this company were responsible for publishing all the programmes from this tour apart from the 2nd test in Wellington. The other programmes we have seen from this tour have the same cover and format with a different team sheet in the centre. Additional to this programme is the team sheet for the West Coast Buller match played on the 17th June in Greymouth (illustrated below). The spine of this programme has split three quarters, there is some wear to the front cover resulting in minor losses to the bottom right hand corner. The back 8 pages have silverfish damage, most loss is in the bottom margin, see back cover illustration. The staples have rusted and very little remain of these. Generally however the programme is good although a little fragile. Ref: F8-45-prbr08nz1 - £2850.00
