The letter (3 written sides) looks to have been written by a Thomas Bird although the signature is not easily read. The subject is the search for a Peter Henderson who owes 'Bird' money. In this volume an attempt is made to open windows on Swansea's early history, from the time that Swein and his longships first entered Fabian's Bay and established a little settlement there at the mouth of the Tawe, to the restoration of the 'merry' monarch, Charles II, in 1660.

This is a copy of Dylan Thomas' first book "18 Poems" published by The Fortune Press in 1942. Dylan's first edition was originally published privately in 1934 in only 500 copies, only 250 of these were immediately bound and sold. The remaining 250 (known as 2nd issue) were bound in 1936. This is a copy of the 2nd edition complete with d/w, a former owners name appears stamped on the fist page otherwise the condition is good.
