Ronald Poulton won 17 caps for England. This Harlequins player is widely regarded as one of the greatest pre-WW1 players. Poulton lost his life when hit by a sniper's bullet at Ploegsteert Wood in 1915. During his illustrious career he scored 5 tries for Oxford in the 1909 varsity match and captained England in the last international before World War I. This book is complete with the extremely rare dust wrapper, the dust wrapper has some minor tape repairs The book itself has a previous owners name in ink on the front endpaper, overall the binding is still tight, a very good copy of this rare book.
